Zuppa Toscana


What you will need:

1/2 lb Italian Sausage
1/4 cup bacon bits
1/2 onion diced
2 garlic cloves minced
4 Potatoes pealed and cubed
3 cups chicken broth and 3 cups water
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup milk

Peal and cube the potatoes. Fill
them up with the broth and water. Put to boil on medium heat.
When the potatoes are boiling add about 1/2 tsp of salt.

On medium heat saute the Italian sausage until golden in color.
Add the cubed onion and cook on medium heat
until golden in color. Then strain the meat mixture
to get any excess oils out. 


Check the potatoes to see if they are cooked.
When they are cooked add in the Italian
 sausage into the potatoes.

Add in the minced/pressed garlic, milk, and the heavy cream.

Add in salt and pepper to taste.
Also add in any seasoning that you like.
I added in seasoning salt, oregano, and onion powder to taste.
This will add a little bit more flavor.
Let the soup simmer for 5 minutes.
