Meringue Cookies

What you need:

1/2 cup of sugar
2 room temperature egg whites
food coloring any that you prefer
I used 10 drops of light blue and 3 drops of light green

Separate the egg yolks from the egg whites.
Using a whisk attachment start mixing the egg whites until frothy.
While mixing, slowly start adding the sugar. Mix for 3-5 minutes.
The eggs should be glossy and have stiff peaks.

Add in the food coloring and mix for another 1-2 minutes.

Line a baking sheep with parchment paper and
 pre-heat the oven to 200 F.

Place a Wilton 2D tip into a piping bag.
Place the piping bag into a cup and fill it
up with the meringue mixture.

Pipe roses onto the parchment paper.
To get the rose shape, start by piping into a
circular motion until getting a rose shape.

Bake them in the oven for 45 minutes.
When they are done baking, let them
cool completely inside the oven.
Take them out of the oven and pull them
off the parchment paper. They should come
off with no problem. You can eat them plain,
or you can put some frosting in between making it into a sandwich.

Enjoy!
