This recipe brings out all of the great flavors and allows the pork to fall apart and melt in your mouth. You will not regret the wait. Keep reading to find out how to make it. Enjoy!
What you need:
3-4 lb boneless pork loin
1 cup of ketchup
1/4 cup of brown sugar
1 cup of habanero BBQ sauce
1/4 cup of sweet honey BBQ sauce
3 cloves of garlic, minced
1/2 of a medium onion, chopped
1/3 cup of water
1 tbsp of honey mustard
1 tsp of salt and pepper
1 tsp of seasoning salt
1 tsp of smoked paprika
1 tsp of oregano
1 tsp of smoked paprika
1 tsp of oregano
You'll need a crock pot or a big oven safe pan to cook the meat in.
Start by lightly sprinkling the salt and pepper over the pork loin. Cut it into 4 different even pieces. Chop up the onions and place into the slow cooker or an oven safe pan.
Place the meat on top of the onions.
Combine all of the sauces and the seasonings together, including the salt and pepper, and mix together until well combined.
Pour the sauce over the meat. If you are cooking it in the slow cooker, cover with a lid and cook it for 6-7 hours. You can cook it overnight.
If you are cooking it in the pan, pour the sauce over the meat and pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees F. Cover the pan with foil and place into the oven for 3-4 hours.
When the meat is fully cooked, place it into a large bowl. Using a fork, shred the meat. Add about 1/2 a cup of the juices left from the meat that it was cooking in. Give it a good mix and it is ready to eat.
