Chicken Bacon Pasta
Are you looking for a super easy dinner? Well you will want to try this one.
This dish has so much flavor with the smokey bacon, creamy sauce
with melted cheese, and that delicious flavor of garlic. You will have
it done in no time. I hope that you enjoy this recipe.
What you need:
1 chicken breast cubed into chunky pieces
4 slices of bacon chopped
1 handful of asparagus about 12 pieces
2 gloves of garlic pressed or minced
1/4 of an onion chopped
1 cup of milk
1 tablespoon of flour
3 mushrooms sliced
2 cups of any pasta you like (I used elbows macaroni)
2 handfuls of mozzarella cheese
Salt and pepper
seasonings to taste
Pour some oil into a skillet and start heating it up on medium heat.
After the oil is warm add in your chopped chicken.
Get out a pot and fill it up with about 4 cups of water.
Place it on medium heat and bring to a boil.
When the water is boiled add in about 1 teaspoon of salt.
Add in your pasta and let it cook on medium heat for about
10-15 min. Mix the pasta about every 5 minutes.
Keep and eye on the chicken. Add in the bacon when
the chicken is a nice golden color.
Meanwhile dice up the onions and slice the mushrooms.
Make sure the bacon has a nice golden color and
add in the onions and mushrooms and
continue cooking them on medium heat.
Cut off about 1-2 inches off from the bottom
of the asparagus and discard the ends. Cut
the asparagus into about an inch long slices.
Drain the pasta.
Add the asparagus and the garlic to the chicken.
Give it a nice stir and let cook for about 5 minutes.
Make sure to keep cooking it on medium heat.
Add in the salt and pepper and season by taste.
I added a pinch of salt and pepper 1/4 teaspoon
of seasoning salt, 1/4 teaspoons of onion powder,
and 1/4 teaspoon of oregano.
Add in the flour and stir well.
Add in the milk and the pasta.
Continue to stir. Cook for about 5
minutes and add in the cheese.
Make sure to stir very well after adding in the cheese.
I hope you enjoy.
