Biscuits

Biscuits

Ingredients

2 cups flour
4 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 teaspoon salt
4 tablespoon butter
1 cup buttermilk, chilled




Preheat oven to 450 degrees


In a large mixing bowl, sift flour, baking powder,
baking soda, and salt.


Add the cold butter


Mix the butter with a fork


Make a well in the center and pour in the buttermilk.
Stir until the the dough comes together.
The dough will be very sticky.




Turn dough onto floured surface, dust the top
with flour and gently fold.

With your hands spread the dough out to 1- inch
thick and cut out the biscuits with a biscuit cutter.


Place them on a lightly oiled pan and place in the oven for 15-20 min.
Check on them at the 15 min mark. Until golden brown.
